Depending on the angle and light, the surfaces move between translucency and iridescence, revealing fragments of colour that never fully settle into a single tone or reflection.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-start=\"390\" data-end=\"780\"\u003eI chose to paint a dragonfly because I felt challenged by the composition. I worked carefully to mix pigments that would communicate the iridescent panes of the dragonfly’s wings; depending on the light, the wings can appear semi translucent or like a glimmering mosaic of colours.
