Can you feel the wind? Here I have animated nature with my brushstrokes. In this painting we feel the energy of the wind swirling through the trees. The evergreen branches appear to reach into the horizon. The water is dynamic, in the zigzag lines there is an expressed fluidity in the shades of blue. However, it’s the sky with the swirls of turquoise and powder blue that suggest a summer storm is in progress. The landscape of Muskoka is permanently etched by the wind off the lake.

He offers a personal and distinctive style to the world through his bold use of colours and lines, often symbolic images or subject matter. Objects in the paintings retain their realistic appearance yet have a vibrancy and fluidity about them, unique to his work.
