The artwork was commissioned for a boy with a deep affection for octopuses and sealife. The painting portrays a stunning coral reef teeming with life, set underwater with crystal-clear ocean backdrop and vibrant corals in various shapes and sizes forming the foreground. The busy lives of the marine creatures that call the corals home are captured with brightly coloured fish, playful clownfish, and a majestic octopus with long tentacles exploring the surrounding corals. The vivid and saturated colours transport the viewer to a familiar yet strange underwater world, celebrating the rich and diverse life that exists beneath the ocean’s surface and reminding us of the fragility and wonder of our planet’s ecosystems.
