As if appearing at the end of the path, the Chapel at Yosemite Valley sits dwarfed by an evergreen forest that seems to encroach upon the building as if to take back the aged timbers. The morning glow highlighting the door suggests an early service, but it is the sunlit Redwood tree in the foreground that draws the eye to the subject of worship.
