「ンゴロンゴロ：巨獣が歩く」は、タンザニアのンゴロンゴロ（エン・ゴロン・ゴロ）クレーターに着想を得た、ジェフ・ディロンのオリジナルのヘビーボディアクリル画をもとにした限定版ファインアートプリントです。古代の火山が内側に崩落して形成されたこのクレーターには、今では開けた草原、遠くの丘、移ろう空、そしてアフリカを代表する野生動物たちが広がっています。画面には、道に沿って歩く雄のゾウと、そのそばに寄り添うアマサギたちが描かれ、うち1羽は空へ舞い上がっています。

このプリントは、オリジナル作品の趣を受け継ぎ、ゾウを取り巻く道や草、鳥、そして広々とした大地の中に、ゾウが自然に溶け込む様子を表現しています。ンゴロンゴロの火山の歴史、その壮大なスケール、野生動物、そして広がる距離感が作品全体を形づくり、画面の中心にいる動物の力強さを失うことなく、その土地ならではの静かな存在感を感じさせる情景に仕上がっています。
