Historic engineering and personal memory come together in this limited edition fine art print reproduced from an original painting by Canadian artist Jeff Dillon. Featuring Scotland’s iconic Forth Bridge, the artwork preserves the monumental structure and atmosphere of the landmark while reflecting its enduring connection to travel, history, and human experience.

The Forth Bridge is a celebrated Scottish landmark, this painting preserves this timeless landmark. This painting having been commissioned by an adoring wife for her Scottish husband. He did his degree in electrical engineering and travelled by train on the Forth Rail Bridge.

The Forth Bridge, a symbol of Scotland and an emblematic achievement in railway engineering history, stands proudly even to this day. When constructed over 130 years ago it marked the first use of steel as Britain’s foremost building material while also opening up continuous East Coast rail routes from London to Aberdeen. Earning its place within the pantheon of cantilever trussed bridges worldwide for both passengers and freight alike; today it remains largely unchanged since opened – authentic form and design coupled with only minimal changes made to materials and substance meaning that function continues as intended by those who originally built her.
