The moody quality of the sky and mountain range is contrasted by the soft nature of the calm blue water and dainty white flowers in the foreground. This painting is concentrated with layers of paynes grey, chromium oxide green, teal and titanium white. Subtle highlights of naples yellow, violet and pyrrole orange lend added dimension to the canvas.
