A limited edition fine art print by Canadian artist Jeff Dillon, this work is based on an original painting depicting a cardinal within a rural Canadian landscape. Produced as a high-resolution archival reproduction, it preserves the atmosphere, detail, and quiet narrative of the original artwork.

Bouncing to and from each home looking for the food often laid out by his cooing human admirers. This cardinal expression looks soft and interested, he’s sitting on a fence line waiting for his onlooker to leave him and his mate some seeds. His guard is down only for a moment. Sharing the canvas with the songbird, we see a mottled cobalt green background and rugged wooden fence. The young spring cardinal is developing his first napthol red plumage.
