This limited edition fine art print by Canadian artist Jeff Dillon captures the quiet seasonal transition of a European Starling moving from winter into spring. Reproduced from the original heavy body acrylic painting, the artwork preserves the layered feather detail, shifting plumage tones, and soft natural atmosphere surrounding the bird within the budding branches.

European Starlings are now among North America’s most numerous songbirds. They are known to be covered in white spots during winter, but interestingly take on a glossy dark plumage in summer. This starling is taking shelter in some fresh spring buds, and its speckled winter feathers are slowly but surely transitioning to those of summer, an inky cerulean blue-black.

Limited Edition Prints are limited are accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity hand-signed and numbered by the artist.
