About the Painting
For many, the sunflower embodies comfort and is associated with themes such as hope, devotion, and unity. For this piece, my aim was to illustrate the essence of comfort through careful use of colour and composition. Warm sunlight adds shadowy intensity to the flowers and foliage, while revitalizing gusts of wind tousle the lush golden petals and clouds above. The palette for this painting involved many layers of vibrant pigments including magnesium blue, light pthalo green, naples yellow, and titanium white.
Limited Edition Prints are limited to an edition of 100. The accompanying Certificate of Authenticity is also hand-signed and numbered by the artist.
