About the Painting
The subject of this painting is a blue picardy spaniel. This breed is known for its high level of intelligence. Slinking through some tall autumn grass which is a muted mustard yellow, the royal blue dog has locked eyes with us. There is a pronounced feeling of sentience about its eyes, scanning and surveilling the surroundings. After many centuries of domestication our canine friends are one with us and nature.
