يغيّر الخريف إيقاع المناظر الطبيعية وألوانها بطرق دقيقة. في هذه اللوحة الأكريليك ذات القوام السميك للفنان الكندي Jeff Dillon، تخلق حرارة الموسم الآخذة في التلاشي خلفية أكثر هدوءًا، حيث تصبح الفروع وأوراق الشجر الخافتة والحركات الصغيرة داخل الغابة أكثر وضوحًا. وتعكس درجات الألوان الترابية المتراكبة والتباينات الناعمة الانتقال من أواخر الخريف إلى سكون الشتاء.
