وُلدت هذه اللوحة من شعور أظن أن معظمنا يتفهمه. قد تصبح الحياة ثقيلة أحيانًا، سواء بسبب أمور تحدث من حولنا أو داخل حياتنا، ومن السهل أن نغفل عما يكمن بعد تلك اللحظة. في هذه اللوحة، تبدو العاصفة وكأنها تحيط بالجزيرة، والمياه مضطربة، والسماء قاتمة ومقلقة. ومع ذلك، تتوسط كل ذلك جزيرة مضاءة. تنمو الأشجار معًا فوق ما يزيد قليلًا عن الصخور، مع تربة ضئيلة جدًا تحتها، وأحب القوة الكامنة في ذلك. إنها مكشوفة ومحاطة من كل جانب، ومع ذلك تظل صامدة، بل وتزدهر في بعض الحالات.

بالنسبة إليّ، تذكّرني “Light Always Breaks Through” بأن الظلام ليس أبدًا الصورة الكاملة. قد تستحوذ الفترات الصعبة على قدر كبير من انتباهنا، حتى يصبح من السهل أن ننسى أن الأمل لا يزال موجودًا بعدها. لا يمحو النور ما يحدث من حوله، لكنه يذكّرني بأن اللحظات الأكثر إشراقًا موجودة دائمًا، حتى عندما يصعب رؤيتها.
