This timber wolf is standing guard, positioned in front of the inviting trunk of an ancient tree, possibly the entrance to its den. We don’t know if it is protecting its territory or pack, but it is certainly the watcher of its group. The wolf’s sturdy form is detailed in soft cream and muted slate tones. Although the wolf’s coat is lighter in colour than its surroundings, it blends naturally into the forest backdrop through shared earthy browns and weathered woodland hues.
