Dieses Landschaftsgemälde des kanadischen Künstlers Jeff Dillon zeigt den dichten Waldrand in Muskoka, Ontario. Das Original wurde mit pastoser Acrylfarbe auf Leinwand geschaffen und betont durch geschichteten Pinselauftrag, Tiefe und atmosphärische Kontraste die immersive Präsenz des kanadischen Waldes.

Das als „Forest Cathedral“ bekannte Gemälde zeigt eine hoch aufragende Wand aus Blättern, deren Waldrand beinahe architektonisch wirkt. Das dichte Blätterdach vermittelt ein Gefühl von Abgeschlossenheit und stillem Durchgang, als würde man eine natürliche Schwelle in einen anderen Raum überschreiten. Trotz des Sonnenlichts darüber bleibt das Innere des Waldes dunkel, einladend und zutiefst atmosphärisch.
