L’automne modifie subtilement le rythme et les couleurs du paysage. Dans cette peinture acrylique à empâtement réalisée par l’artiste canadien Jeff Dillon, la chaleur déclinante de la saison crée un arrière-plan plus paisible où les branches, le feuillage aux teintes tamisées et les petits mouvements au cœur de la forêt deviennent plus perceptibles. Les tons terreux superposés et les contrastes adoucis évoquent la transition de la fin de l’automne vers l’immobilité de l’hiver.

En automne, nous voyons notre environnement se défaire de l’éclat luxuriant de l’été et adopter une palette plus sobre, tandis qu’il se prépare à un long repos hivernal. Il semble que bon nombre de nos amis à plumes qui restent parmi nous adoptent eux aussi une tenue aux teintes plus discrètes. Ce changement de décor, d’un feuillage abondant à un arrière-plan boisé et linéaire, offre une scène parfaite pour observer vos oiseaux préférés sautiller. Dominée par les tons terreux, cette œuvre est riche en bruns ocre et en terre de Sienne brûlée, avec de subtiles touches de bleu sarcelle et d’orange çà et là.
