$1,200
SKU: 136A
Original Painting Size: 12" x 12"
Original Date: September 2018

Original heavy body acrylic painting on canvas by Canadian artist Jeff Dillon inspired by quiet observations of birds within natural Canadian landscapes. Built through layered brushwork, texture, and colour mixing, this contemporary wildlife-inspired painting reflects a still, early morning moment in nature.

Fluffed up and perched on a branch waiting for sunrise. This little robin has a glossy spring plumage, and appears like a quaint little orb on its chosen limb. Its small feet are tucked up underneath the comfort of its downy feathers. The warm orange feathers are painted in quinacridone orange, and highlighted with titanate yellow. Subtle titanium white and tints of warm umber are used to detail the branch and feathers on the robin's wings.
The accompanying Certificate of Authenticity is also hand-signed and numbered by the artist.
Part of Jeff Dillon’s ongoing body of original paintings as a contemporary Canadian landscape artist based in Ontario, Canada.
