Heavy rain clouds and dense tropical atmosphere shape this heavy body acrylic painting by Canadian artist Jeff Dillon. Rising above the rainforest canopy, a lone tree breaks through the mist while the landscape below dissolves gradually into layers of river, vegetation, and drifting cloud.

The clouds are low and heavy with warm rain. A lone tree is poking through the canopy of a lush rainforest. The viewpoint from the tall tree shows the vast landscape below it, including a river flowing through the vegetation. The clouds are almost touching the ground. It is very damp, and the forest below blends in with the blue of the river. Layered cyan blues, deep greens, muted ochres, and softened greys create the humid atmosphere and depth of the scene.
The accompanying Certificate of Authenticity is also hand-signed and numbered by the artist.
