Time spent in the forest has a way of slowing the mind and reconnecting us to something familiar. In this original heavy body acrylic painting, Canadian artist Jeff Dillon captures a quiet woodland clearing shaped by morning light, still air, and the calm presence of a solitary conifer rising from the rocky landscape.

Walking in nature is something that humans have evolved to do. This feels poignant when we venture into the forest after spending too much time away from it. Familiar and comforting sounds of nature greet us and a sense of well being washes over us. This piece features a rocky clearing and a feathery coniferous tree illuminated in the morning sun. The rock face carries soft natural texture while the sky remains calm with delicate clouds suspended almost motionless above the landscape.
