About the Painting
Betta fish are known for their flashy colours and long fins that flow around them like ball gowns under the water. This piece has a unique background, exclusively finished with a highly saturated black pigment. The majestic fish is pictured in a flattering side profile, demonstrating its glowing scale pattern of cyan blues, violets, magentas and reds. An ethereal iridescence graces the entire fish. These fish are native to Asia and very prolific in Thailand. In nature, they generally inhabit shallow bodies of water with abundant vegetation, including marshes and flood plains.
